Construction Programme

Our experience

The team chosen by the Olympic Delivery Authority and London & Continental Railways to develop Athletes Village is being led by Lend Lease, a major international property group at the forefront of the UK’s regeneration industry.

Lend Lease’s project management and construction business, Bovis Lend Lease, will oversee all aspects of the build, from planning and design to the handover to the Olympic Delivery Authority in 2012.

Bovis Lend Lease specialises in construction management (the behind the scenes planning and co-ordination that makes a project run smoothly), project and programme management, design, procurement, building and general contracting.

As part of the Lend Lease group, we can also draw on a wide range of additional skills and experience, giving us a breadth of expertise that is unique in the construction industry, not just in the UK but also internationally.

Founded in 1885, Bovis Lend Lease now leads the field on working responsibly, considerately and safely, setting high standards in design and build and collaborating with stakeholders and clients alike.

Today, Bovis Lend Lease is working around the world with clients in different sectors, from retail, telecommunications and transport to the arts, sport and leisure. In recent years we’ve also developed an extensive portfolio of public/private partnerships, building schools, hospitals and housing for national and local government agencies.

Our landmark projects around the world include the iconic Sapporo Dome in Japan, built for the 2002 World Cup Final; Trump Tower, the tallest residential building in Manhattan; and the clearing of the ‘Ground Zero’ site.

Meanwhile we’ve made our mark in the UK with a variety of distinctive developments, like Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, the refurbishment of HM Treasury buildings in London and the Lowry Centre in Salford.
