When it comes to getting involved in the development of Athletes Village, there’ll be plenty of opportunities, whether you live locally or further afield.

For people living in Stratford and the surrounding areas, we’re planning:

• A dedicated Community Development Manager to co-ordinate targeted work with specific groups like schools and voluntary groups.
• A series of community events that we’ll tell you about by writing to you direct, or by using flyers, posters, or the local media, including television, radio and newspapers.
• A new Athletes Village brochure, with information about our vision for the area, as well as opportunities for local people.
• A roving Athletes Village exhibition, set up at key events like festivals and concerts.
• Work with the Olympic Delivery Authority and other organisations to organise joint events and activities, like the ‘groundbreaking’ ceremony.
• Arts and educational projects with local groups, including schools and colleges.
